Frequently asked questions
So, why ExamCoordinator.NET?
We have repeatedly heard that one of the largest gaps in training for schools running international examinations is the proper administration of examinations. Having spoken with program coordinators, school administrators, and exam inspectors from around the world, there is a clear need for training, resources, and ongoing professional support for this essential component of strong international education programs.
Who is the workshop leader and what kind of experience does he have?
Our workshop leader for all ExamCoordinator.NET events is currently Jacques A. Weber, a highly experienced international school educator. He has worked as a teacher, department head, IB DP Coordinator, assistant principal, principal, and now, a head of school. Jacques graduated with a Bilingual IB Diploma and has held the following additional roles with the International Baccalaureate: workshop leader, consultant for candidate schools, curriculum consultant for on-line courses, self-study reader, verification and evaluation visit team leader, alumni advisory council member, and unannounced examinations inspector. Jacques speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently and is conversant in several other languages. He has traveled through nearly 100 countries and has trained over 1200 educators from more than 60 countries.
Which exam boards do you specialize in?
ExamCoordinator.NET specializes in preparing exam coordinators to skillfully and efficiently meet the requirements of the following international examination boards: International Baccalaureate Organization, Cambridge International Education, and the Joint Council for Qualifications (e.g., Edexcel/Pearson, OxfordAQA, etc.).
Is there a chance to learn more outside of the classroom?
Of course! In addition to the nine hours of formal instruction, there are many opportunities for informal learning and engagement during break times, evening excursions, and evening dinner events. We hope you will join us there!
Learning continues after the workshop? How does the hour of individualized remote support work?
The ExamCoordinator.NET workshop takes places through six 1½-hour modules conducted over two days. An important element of our workshops, however, is that the connection with the workshop leader and fellow participants is not cut when you leave the venue! Knowing that learning must happen within an individual context, we provide an additional hour of post-workshop support, for a total of ten hours of formal instruction. The following apply to this individualized instruction time:
What's included in my personalized site login?
Every workshop participant is provided with access to a member's only site that contains a store for the purchase of exam-related items, as well as a personalized page that contains the following: links to ExamCoordinator.NET social media support groups; links to learning material used and/or created in class; links to external resources; information regarding individualized support sessions; detailed notes of individualized support sessions; photos from the event; and details of event logistics.
